General information about our kittens

From our website, you can see that we run our small hobby cattery with love and expertise, evident in our beautiful cats and the many health tests we conduct. Our cats are full members of our family and we take pride in bettering the breed and keeping this wonderful, rare breed alive.

We recently moved from Germany to Florida in 2020 and it brings us great joy that even kitten owners from Europe come to us to get another kitten. We're incredibly proud!

Our primary focus is the character of our Egyptian Mau cats. They're famous for being the cuddliest and most affectionate cats you'll ever meet. They're simply addicting! Once you've owned a Mau, you'll always want another.

We vaccinate our kittens twice against feline rhinotracheitis, calici, and panleukopenia viruses and once against rabies. Before they go to their new homes, our kittens receive a thorough examination from our veterinarian, including a deworming treatment, a negative fecal test, and an FIV/FeLV blood test. They also receive an official state health certificate.

All of our kittens are microchipped and registered with TICA USA. They're ready to go to their new homes from the 13th to 15th week of life, depending on their development and whether they've been spayed or neutered.

Our kittens come with a supply of food for their first few days, a comfort blanket, a toy, and our folder with basic information and a written sales contract. There are no additional costs for our pet kittens, but if you choose to have them spayed or neutered, the cost would be additional (around $200 for neuter/$280 for spay as my last information), as per our vet's fee.

The well-being of our kittens is of utmost importance to us, even after they've left our home. Every owner of our kittens is important to us and a part of our big MAULOVE family. We're available 24/7, 365 days a year if you have any concerns or questions.

If you live in Florida, our prices include FL sales tax. Get in touch with us today to adopt a cuddly and affectionate Egyptian Mau kitten from our family to yours!

PET, SHOW PET, AND BREEDING RIGHTS: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

If you're interested in getting a kitten from us, it's important to understand the distinctions between a pet, a show pet, and a breeding animal.

A pet, as the name suggests, is a companion animal that is meant to be loved and cared for. These kittens are not to be used for breeding, and we require that they are either spayed or neutered. We do not allow our kittens to room outside unaltered and require them to be altered until a lastest 10 months of age if they are not already spayed/neutered before leaving. However, you are more than welcome to bring your pet kitten to cat shows, just let us know beforehand and we'll help you find the perfect kitten for your needs and can give you a few tips :) . We don't differentiate between pets and show pets in terms of price or conditions.

A breeding animal, on the other hand, is intended to be used for breeding purposes and are sold with breeding rights. While these kittens are not required to be spayed or neutered, the new owner must ensure the health of the animal before using it for breeding. Additionally, the new owner must be registered with a reputable breeding club and must adhere to the club's breeding guidelines. We take the responsibility of breeding very seriously, and we only grant breeding rights to individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of the breed. Please note that we do not give breeding rights lightly, rarely, and only to the right person with the wellbeeing of the breed in mind and not from all my bloodlines due to contracts with their breeders.

We do not give our kittens to families that "just want to have one litter to see them grown".... please understand that it´s not in the interest of the breed and the cat itself- we do not support Backyard breeder, wildcat hybrid breeders or kitten Mills. I prefer my kittens to go to the best pet homes and live their life as the lovely Kings and Queens they are :)
